Starting Up | Browsing | Bookmarks | Sending Page FINDING STUFF | Toolbars Netscape Navigator keeps track of where you've been during each session you're connected to the Internet. It makes a "history list" of Web sites, which you can see and easily return to by clicking the Go menu. The Netsite/Location box on the Navigator Location toolbar also keeps a list of recently viewed Web pages (this feature isn't included in the Macintosh version of Communicator). Unlike the Go menu, this list is not erased each time you exit or quit Netscape Communicator. For information on how to clear this list, see Netscape's answers to Advanced Frequently Asked Technical Questions The best way to make sure you can get back to a Web page you'd like to see again, is to bookmark it the first time you see it. Finding on a Web pageWhen you're searching for information on many Web pages, it's useful to be able to quickly find a word or phrase on a page, especially when you encounter a very long Web page.To find a word or phrase on a Web page, click the Edit menu, then click Find in Page. Enter the word or words you're looking for, then click Find. Searching on the InternetSearching on the Internet can take a little practice to perfect. Read "Help with finding things on the Internet" for help with streamlining your searching process. Back to Netscape Communicator |
