Open Netscape Messenger, then click the Mail Folder menu and click the name of the newsgroup you want to read. If there are no newsgroups listed in the Mail Folder menu, make sure you are subscribed to one.

Once you have selected a newsgroup from the Mail Folder menu, you should see the list of messages in the newsgroup in the Message List pane. Click on a message to see its contents displayed in the Message Pane.

Reading and sending newsgroup messages works very much like reading and sending e-mail messages. The important difference is that you are sending messages to a whole group of people, most of whom you probably won't know, whereas e-mail is usually sent to peole you know.
