Starting Up | Making Web Pages | Adding Links | Adding Images Editing Web Pages | Publishing | Toolbars If you want to make many Web pages sharing some basic features, creating them from a template can save you lots of time and effort. A template is a page containing only those features that will be shared by many pages, such as menus, headers and footers. You can create this skeletal page using Composer, save it to your hard drive with an obvious name (such as template.html), then use it as a template to create actual Web pages. To use your template, click the File menu, click New, then click Page From Template. This is what you'll see (unless you're using a Macintosh):
Click Choose File to locate your template file, then click OK when you're done. You should see your template file in the Composer window. Type the text and add the features you want to see in this specific Web page, save it, then publish it. Back to Communicator |
