Windows 95
- Click

select Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the System icon.
- Click the General tab.
- The amount of RAM installed in your computer will be listed under computer: near the bottom of the System window.
Windows 3.1
- Exit Windows.
- Type "mem" at the DOS prompt.
- The amount of RAM installed in your computer will be listed next to Total Memory in kilobytes. (32,768 kilobytes is 32 megabytes of RAM.) (See figure a)
- Type "win" to restart Windows.
Macintosh
- Click the Application Selector menu at the top right of your screen, then select Finder.
- Click the Apple menu (
) at the top left of your screen, then select About This Macintosh.
- The amount of Built-in Memory (RAM) will be displayed.
