If you are using Netscape Navigator, you will see this
at the bottom
left of your screen when you have a secure connection to a page. If the key is
broken , your
connection is not secure, and outside parties could have access to any information
you send. If you are using Netscape Communicator 4.0 or higher, you have a secure
connection when a closed padlock appears at the lower left of your screen.
Microsoft Internet Explorer users have a secure connection when a padlock like
this appears
in the status bar at the bottom right of the screen.
Be alert: you may encounter sites which falsely claim to be secure. If you don't
see the blue key, you don't have a secure connection.
